Make sure you say hi 👋 to Daphne on your way in today, she insisted that I put her bed in the sun so that she could soak in her vitamin D requirements!

I’ll have to move her to the balcony soon as the sun moves round!

Homemade Caesar dressing, cos lettuce, sourdough croutons, Parmesan and sustainably sourced trout for a little change to the traditional.

Works are currently taking place on the bridge at Riverside Works, but diversions are in place for parking and there is pedestrian access to the cafe. Alternatively you can access the site via Holme Lane in Bakewell.

Due to works being carried out around the business park there are some diversions in place when coming over the new bridge.
Pedestrian access to the cafe will be maintained, but if you need to drive and park a little closer to us, Riverside Business Park can be accessed via Holme Lane.

Ok, so we’re not sure what’s happening with the weather either, so in a bid to try and cover all bases we bring you…

An autumnal vegetable open pie, with homemade rosemary shortcrust pastry and Brie served with a creamy sauce.

We think we’ve found the perfect compromise for autumn comfort food and the sunny skies that keep gracing us with their presence! Long may they last if we get to keep making specials like this!

New signs have arrived at Riverside Works and should help you find your way to The Tin Hut Cafe.

We serve breakfast all day, a full lunch/brunch menu and have a range of specials . We will be showing the Olympics everyday that they are on and our secret riverside terrace has seen a couple of visits from the local kingfisher.
At this point you might be running out of excuses not to come!

The sun’s out and looks set to stay for a little while, so we’re back to posting pictures of summer salads by the riverside.

This light, fresh quinoa salad has got roasted veg, paired with bright fresh tomatoes and cucumber for crunch. Served with halloumi or chicken and our house dressing it’s perfect for a lazy lunch looking for the kingfisher.
